Worried That Your Symptoms Might Be
Ovarian Cancer?
(read on for my
story)
Forgive me for the big bold headline, but I felt it was
important to get your attention.
My name is Tera and in 2006 I was
diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer. I am not even sure I had ever given a
passing thought to this disease, and I certainly had no idea of the symptoms or
early warning signs of ovarian cancer. I was in my early 40s and this came
(seemingly) out of nowhere, so I would like to try to help others to be aware of
what to look for. As it turned out, I had been having symptoms for
probably a year or two, but I just pooh-poohed them, thinking it
was nothing.
Thankfully, I only had stage 2 and at
this time I have been in remission for a year and a half (and hopefully
forever).

While searching for information, natural
remedies, help for insomnia, and just simply ways to get my mind off my problems, I found
some great ideas that were very helpful to me during this time, and I
would like to share these with you
here.

If you or someone you love is going through
chemotherapy or have already gone through chemo, surgery, or radiation, I've been
right there and I know how scary this time is for you and also your loved
ones.
You have probably been searching all over the
Internet, reading books, and gathering as much information as you can. I totally
understand how you feel. I felt the same way when I was going through chemo... I was
looking for all the help I could get. I was so anxious, worried, and upset, and I
honestly felt paralyzed by fear at some times. I also could not sleep very well at
all. What I found is that during this time I ran across things that were extremely
helpful for me, and which I hope will be helpful for you also.
So for that reason I created this site to help others going through the same things. I'll
be adding pages and content periodically so please check back often.
Whether you or someone you love has been diagnosed with stage 2, stage 3, or stage 4
ovarian cancer, there is plenty of hope out there! And plenty of people who will be willing
to lend a hand, just reach out to them, especially while recovering from surgery and/or
going through chemotherapy.
I really hope you can find some value in the pages
here.
Thank you, and I wish you the best,
Tera
p.s. Don't forget to check back to this
site periodically as I will update with any new information I run across that might be
helpful.
